GENERAL
The Ceramic Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design and product development process until the product is released for production and for building and maintaining the documentation system required to control the product development process. To achieve these goals, the Ceramic Engineer will work closely with suppliers, project teams from various disciplines including sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality and purchasing to satisfy their requirements. The ceramic engineer is therefore required to demonstrate a high degree of project management capability, interpersonal skills and a track record of teambuilding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design product to meet the customer’s requirements.
2. Managing and controlling the product development process to bring product into production on time.
3. Establishing the policies and technical documentation to effectively control the product development process until product is released for production.
4. Providing technical support to the production team to establish production quality assurance standards and processes.
5. Supporting and advising the production team on the development of in-house training systems.
6. Preparing regular reporting and for management review.
REQUIREMENTS
1. College education or above, in technical or other relevant Major.
2. At least 10 years sanitary ceramic experience in developing new products, or managing production.
3. Ability to write and read technical drawings.
4. Good English Language skills, with listening, oral, reading and writing ability.
5. Knowledge in ASME and IAPMO standards is required.
6. Experience with product development applications such as Pro E, SAP, Orcad, PLM, PADS is desirable.
7. Good knowledge of computer systems, high skill set in using Microsoft Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or others.
8. Well organized and self-disciplined.
9. Healthy, strong stamina and be able to handle physically demanding workload.
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal customers and external suppliers.
11. Hard working, responsible and a good team player.
12. Plan, organize and ute work as needed to accomplish objectives according to deadlines.
13. Can work independently with good problem solving skills.
14. Must possess a high degree of integrity.
