GENERAL
We are a supply chain management company located in Hangzhou, China. As part of our all encompassing supply chain management package we are building a Quality Assurance Team and intend to staff it with professionals that can flexibly respond to any supply chain demands.
A key member of that team and the head of the Division will be the Director of Engineering. The Director of Engineering is tasked with creating a product engineering division for the company.
The Director Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design and product development process until the product is released for production. To achieve these goals, the Director Engineer will work closely with suppliers, project teams from various disciplines including sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality and purchasing to satisfy their requirements. The Director engineer is therefore required to demonstrate a high degree of project management capability, interpersonal skills and a track record of teambuilding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Define division staff’s requirements, interview candidates, select and hire same.
2. Coordinating the development of division protocols.
3. Establishing the design and product development process to bring product into production on time.
4. Supporting and advising the production team on the development of in-house training systems.
REQUIREMENTS
1. College education or above, in technical or other relevant Major.
2. Sanitary ceramic experience in slip casting manufacturing, developing new products, or managing production.
3. At least 3 years experience as a person in charge directly managing and developing new products.
4. Skills to use the software of Pro E, AutoCAD, etc. to write and read technical drawings.
5. Fluency in written and spoken English. For expatriate, fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese.
6. Knowledge in ASME and IAPMO standards is required.
7. Experience with using applications of Orcad, PADS, and SAP, PLM etc. is desirable.
8. Good knowledge of computer systems, high skill set in using Microsoft Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or others.
9. Well organized and self-disciplined.
10. Hard working, responsible and a good team player.
11. Can work independently with good problem solving skills.
12. Must possess a high degree of integrity.
